All about us: Adrenalin Quarry, Cornwall (2017)

We throw people off cliffs, a tough job but somebody has to do it. Our company operates a unique outdoor playground for Adults and Kids, in and around a massive flooded quarry hidden in the hills of S.E Cornwall.

THE ZIP: We run a very big  zip wire right over the lake. At  490M long, 50M high & reaching speeds of 40mph, it's unforgettable. Twin cables cross the flooded depths of the old quarry, with spectacular cliffs bursting with life on either side. The Zip at Adrenalin Quarry is the only one in the UK where you can just turn up and jump with no fuss, and no need to book if you don't want to. Min & max weights are 25/115kg, these  can vary with wind speed, please call if you're near the limit. We launch big, small, tall short, scared, brave, single and paired people all day every day. The youngest so far  is 19months, the oldest 94. We fit your harness and hook you up, all you have to do is enjoy the ride. The Zip at Adrenalin Quarry is consistently ranked at the top of the national press for things to do in Cornwall, with a trip advisor rating of 4.5/5 with a certificate of excellence, plus a 4.7/5 rating on Facebook from 10,000 likes and 13,000 check ins. We've been throwing people off cliffs since 2009 and our reputation as a  visitor destination continues to grow. Over 30,000 people soared over the quarry last year and lots of them will be back.

THE GIANT SWING. Our Cliff top swing is the only one of its kind, unique and terrifying. We can load up to three at a time, pull you high in the air and then launch you 170ft over the lake before you fall backwards and weightless towards the ground. Words can't really describe the sensation you get on the swing but it's something you'll never forget. Over 8,000 people said yes in 2015, come on over and join them.

AXE THROWING. The name gives it away: you get to throw axes under expert supervision in a hilarious and satisfying blur of well organised mayhem. There's nothing quite like the solid thump of metal on stump as you nail your target again and again. Customer feedback ranges from "family therapy" to "I actually hurt from laughing so hard". Sessions last for around an hour, long enough to get your eye in and touch base with some real animal instincts.
